Mindful Meditations

Greetings and Salutations,


It's summertime and I hope you are doing well. Been a busy month here at Candles By Ari, Inc. We started Zoom Mindful Meditations this last week and we had a ball. It's something about gathering together in one mental place and praying/meditating. The power of the mind is incredible once you learn how to tune into yourself. I am so blessed that I have an excellent network of business friends and family. I don't think I could have made it this far without you guys. This is the first summer in over 10 years that I am not planning something for back to school. I retired from the volunteer family organization I served for over 12 years. Feels good knowing I had a chance to be around my kids' education programs but it's now my time to focus more on new opportunities.

Mindful meditation is a type of meditation in which you focus your attention on the present moment and become aware of your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment. The power of mindfulness has been shown to improve mental and physical health, and it is a helpful tool for managing stress, anxiety, and depression. Mindful meditation can be done anywhere, at any time, and it only takes a few minutes to get started. There are many different ways to meditate but one simple way to get started is to find a comfortable place to sit or lie down and focus on your breath. As you inhale and exhale, notice the sensations of your breath and the rise and fall of your chest. If your mind wanders, gently bring your attention back to your breath. You can also try focusing on a mantra or word that you repeat to yourself during the meditation. Mindful meditation is an incredibly powerful tool for promoting peace and well-being and I hope you will give it a try!

This week on the podcast I have been sharing how to use scents to your advantage. This week we looked at vanilla beans. Simple but powerful fragrance that pretty much everyone in the world has smelled or eaten at some point in their lives. We all know it's great for cooking and I wanted to share this recipe I got from my vanilla bean container from Costco. This can work on any protein but I use grilled salmon with mine:



I have used it a few times. It's delicious and simple. You don't need to overthink it, just follow the directions. You can use it with any protein or fish. Even tofu is pretty good with this drizzle around it. Let me know when you give this a try. Show me pictures on your social media pages using the hashtag #candlesbyari. The next 6 months in astrology are going to be like a roller coaster ride. Many ups and downs for all of the zodiac signs but I truly believe if you set yourself up mentally then you will be victorious physically. Affirmation and aromatherapy has been proven to help self-soothe people so people can lower their blood pressure and that helps you make well-rounded decisions.
